Two days ago we reported in our news that ISS X-Force had discovered several serious vulnerabilities in the Berkeley Internet Name Domain Server (BIND).
By now patches for Bind-8.3.3 are available.
So we rolled up a PKG file for the RaQ3 and RaQ4 which upgrades Bind to a fixed version of Bind-8.3.3, which is available for free in our download section.
Sun Cobalt will probably release a patch within the next couple of weeks which fixes the problem, too. So you can either wait for the official patch to protect your DNS server(s), or you can download our patch.
Please note: Our patch upgrades Bind to a newer version than the one which is usually found on a RaQ3 or RaQ4. Therefore you will have to skip future Sun Cobalt patches which target Bind - or there might be conflicts.
